POSITION: DISPENSARY TECHNICIAN<\/strong>
\nREPORT TO: FACILITY HEAD<\/strong>
\nLOCATION: KPARIGU<\/strong>
\nJob Role and Functions:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 To provide effective and efficient service to clients and accurate data on services provided
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u2022 Disperse drugs according to the Physician Assistant\u2019s\/Doctor\u2019s prescriptions
\n\u2022 Generate stock lists and labels by using the computer system
\n\u2022 Enter the relevant data on clients into the computer
\n\u2022 Dispense drugs according to the laid down procedures and standards e.g FEFO
\n\u2022 Assist in filing the client`s cards after service delivery
\n\u2022 Maintain and use the appropriate process of ordering and receiving drugs, receiving e.g Re-order levels
\n\u2022 Take in and hand out prescriptions to clients, if necessary
\n\u2022 Prepare daily report for immediate supervisor\u2019s action.
\n\u2022 Prepare Annual Work Plan and Performance Appraisal.
\n\u2022 Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate Facility Head.
\nQUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
\n\u25aa HND\/Diploma in Pharmarcy Technician or Dispensary Technician or its equivalent in any programme with Computer knowledge in Microsoft word and Excel. or any other higher related field with a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience, of which must be in a similar position.
\n\u25aa language proficiency: fluent in both written and spoken English and any of the local languages in the locality
\nOTHER QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
\n\u25aa A good working knowledge in the use of the computer
\n\u25aa Very good interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills
\n\u25aa Must be honest, transparent and reliable
\n\u25aa High sense of responsibility, accuracy and be able to take initiatives
\n\u25aa Must be a team player and able to work for long hours and under pressure
\n\u25aa Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
\n\u25aa The person must reside within the Kparigu locality or willing to relocate to Kparigu at no cost to the Association.
