POSITION: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN<\/strong>
\nREPORT TO: FACILITY HEAD<\/strong>
\nLOCATION: KPARIGU<\/strong>
\nJob Role and Functions:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 To provide effective and quality service to clients
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Ensure effective and efficient provision of laboratory services
\n\u2022 Ensure that clients and providers rights are adhered to
\n\u2022 Take samples of clients, conduct the laboratory test and provide the result to the Physician Assistant or Officer-in Charge for efficient service delivery
\n\u2022 Keep proper inventory of laboratory equipment
\n\u2022 Keep the laboratory room clean and tidy
\n\u2022 Assist in monitoring and supervising clinic activities
\n\u2022 Assist in ensuring that clinical standards are adhered to
\n\u2022 Prepares Annual Work plan and Performance Appraisal
\n\u2022 Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
\nQUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>
\n\u2022 HND\/Diploma in Laboratory Technician or any other higher related field with a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience, 2 years of which must be in a similar position.
\n\u2022 language proficiency: fluent in both written and spoken English and any of the local languages in the locality
\nOTHER QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Very good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
\n\u2022 Must be honest, transparent and reliable
\n\u2022 Must be friendly and accommodative
\n\u2022 High sense of responsibility, humor, and reliable to take initiatives
\n\u2022 Must be a team player
\n\u2022 Must be able to work for long hours and under pressure
\n\u2022 Must be able to work with little supervision
\n\u2022 A good working knowledge in the use of the computer
\n\u2022 The person must reside within the Kparigu locality or willing to relocate to Kparigu at no cost to the Association.
