The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant positions.
\nPROJECT: Scaling Up Access to Rights-Based Integrated GBV Services in Ghana.
\nPOSITION: 5 Field Officers
\nREPORT TO: Project Coordinator
\nPROJECT DURATION: from now till 31st December 2025 renewable based on funds availability.
\nLOCATIONS:<\/strong>
\n1. Volta Region – Central Tongu District<\/strong>
\n2. Upper East Region- Bunkpurugu-Napkamduri District<\/strong>
\n3. Ashanti Region: Kumasi Metro<\/strong>
\n4. Great Accra Region – Accra Metro<\/strong>
\n5. Western Region- Ahanta West District<\/strong>
\nJOB PURPOSE:
\nTo support programme coordination and Field Activity Implementation in the areas of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Human Rights (HR).
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong>
\n1. Conduct community outreach activities, including group discussions, sensitization sessions, and campaigns on GBV\/HR.
\n2. Collaborate with community leaders, schools, and local organizations to implement project activities.
\n3. Facilitate training sessions and workshops for youth and community groups.
\n4. Collect and report data on project activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
\n5. Serve as the primary point of contact for project beneficiaries in the assigned region.
\n6. Monitor and document progress of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals.
\n7. Support local advocacy efforts to promote gender equality and youth empowerment.
\n8. Identify challenges and provide recommendations to improve project implementation.
\n9. Submit activity reports to the Project Coordinator.
\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\n\u25aa First degree in social sciences or relevant field of study
\n\u25aa Community Health Nurses certificate holders with at least 1 year experience in fieldwork or
\n\u25aa Diploma in Social Work holders with at least 1 year experience or National Service with fieldwork experience
\nTHE PERSON MUST:<\/strong>
\n\u25aa Have very good communication and report-writing skills
\n\u25aa Strong knowledge of gender issues and GBV prevention.
\n\u25aa Experience in community training and stakeholder engagement.
\n\u25aa Fluency in English and a local language of the assigned region.
\n\u25aa Be honest, transparent, reliable and duty-conscious
\n\u25aa Have a high sense of responsibility, and humour, be non-judgmental and able to take initiatives
\n\u25aa Be a team player and self-motivated
\n\u25aa Have excellent human relationship skills and be youth-friendly.
\n\u25aa Have the ability to source information and initiate innovative strategies for enhanced performance
\n\u25aa Be able to work with little or no supervision
\n\u25aa Be able to travel at short notice
\n\u25aa A good working knowledge in the use of the computer
