Advocacy &#038; Communications Lead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Advocacy &amp; Communications Lead<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nLead the strategic development, adaption and implementation of the PPAG\u2019s advocacy and communication strategies<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop and lead implementation of PPAGs communication plan and advocacy strategy in order to improve the organization\u2019s visibility and increase brand awareness using all appropriate channels including social media.<br \/>\n\u25aa Gather relevant evidence, stories and research from PPAG\u2019s programming and analyse for advocacy and communications purposes<br \/>\n\u25aa Contribute to organisation-wide monitoring and evaluation of PPAG\u2019s policy, advocacy and communications work and feed relevant lessons into ongoing strategy development and programme design and implementation<br \/>\n\u25aa Identify country, regional and global advocacy opportunities and develop audience appropriate messages and ensure suitable delivery mechanisms.<br \/>\n\u25aa Support the development of global, national, sub-national advocacy and communications strategies with partners and community groups<br \/>\n\u25aa Lead PPAG\u2019s communications work, including proactively working with the programmes team and partners to develop effective products which demonstrate impact and drive narrative change (bulletins, case studies, blogs, success stories booklet, info-graphics, photo projects, etc.)<br \/>\n\u25aa Lead the design, review and implementation of PPAGs Communications system including with external and internal partners and stakeholders<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop effective dissemination plans for advocacy, research and communications outputs from the Association\u2019s programme drafting content for the media including social media.<br \/>\nLead on the implementation of policy and advocacy activities<br \/>\n\u25aa Lead PPAG\u2019s external advocacy engagement with government, donors, and other relevant decision makers<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop agendas and materials for advocacy workshops and trainings for staff and partners, and in some cases, facilitate selected sessions<br \/>\n\u25aa Lead PPAG\u2019s engagement with relevant NGO networks and forums, including the CSOs Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) sub platforms, FP2030 etc<br \/>\n\u25aa Regularly monitor the impact of PPAG\u2019s advocacy work and report on progress<br \/>\nLead on PPAG\u2019s communication work<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop\/Coordinate and edit communication materials such as newsletters, blogs, press releases and similar communication materials in order to promote PPAG\u2019s programmes and services.<br \/>\n\u25aa Manage PPAGs Website and all digital communications platforms and ensure they are regularly updated and up to date with the Associations activities<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop a social media strategy to guide social media efforts (content and regular updates) on current social media platforms of the Association (Facebook, X, LinkedIn etc.)<br \/>\n\u25aa Support the drafting and editing of policy analysis statements\/documents, presentations, grant applications, and other written materials and ensure all public-facing documents adhere to the organization\u2019s corporate brand.<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop key messages, lead on creating and maintaining appropriate and consistent language and terminology for effective delivery<br \/>\n\u25aa Measure, analyse, document and disseminate current communication efforts.<br \/>\n\u25aa Oversee and allocate the annual communications budget and ensure its use is fully maximized.<br \/>\n\u25aa Work with different departments and programmes leads to generate new ideas and innovative strategies to drive the organizations communication and brands promotions.<br \/>\n\u25aa Provide guidance and technical expertise for change management communications.<br \/>\n\u25aa Develop and manage relationships with key media players to secure and grow traditional media and online media presence\/coverage.<br \/>\n\u25aa Write press releases for local, national and international media.<br \/>\n\u25aa Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by Management<br \/>\n<strong>Minimum required qualification and skills<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25aa A Masters in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations from a recognized institution with at least 5 years relevant post qualification experience<br \/>\n<strong>Other Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25aa Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of SRHR and SRHR partners in country, regionally and globally.<br \/>\n\u25aa Ability to source for information, strategize and determine new trends and opportunities<br \/>\n\u25aa Have strong analytical and judgmental skills<br \/>\n\u25aa Have excellent networking, lobbying, advocacy and good negotiation skills<br \/>\n\u25aa Have a very good presentation, communication, and report writing skills<br \/>\n\u25aa Be honest, transparent and reliable<br \/>\n\u25aa Have excellent human relations skills, youth friendly and a team player.<br \/>\n\u25aa Be able to work for long hours and under pressure and with little or no supervision<br \/>\n\u25aa Ability to travel at short notice<br \/>\n<strong>How to
