LOCATION: HEAD OFFICE, ACCRA<\/strong>
\nREPORT TO: YOUTH PROGRAMMES MANAGER<\/strong><\/p>\n

JOB PURPOSE:<\/strong> To oversee and coordinate all functions of the Youth Action Movement, ensure timely preparation and submission of YAM reports and support the Youth Programmes Department.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong>
\nThe person will carry out the following duties in close cooperation with the YAM president and other staff and partners.<\/p>\n

Coordination of Activities<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Oversee and coordinate all the functions of the Youth Action Movement, and ensure timely preparation and submission of YAM documents and reports.
\n\u2022 Co-ordinate YAM national training Programmes.
\n\u2022 Implement, monitor and evaluate YAM national activities.
\n\u2022 Effectively organize YAM national congress.<\/p>\n

Programme Planning and Implementation<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Participate in the annual planning of the Association and Youth Programme department
\n\u2022 Support in the implementation of projects<\/p>\n

Communication<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Communicate effectively with Youth Action Movement members in all the branches and keep them informed about national programmes.<\/p>\n

Networking<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Network with other youth organizations and partners who are important to the objectives of the Youth Action Movement.
\n\u2022 Identify possible areas of collaboration and networking with partners.<\/p>\n

Resource Mobilization and Proposal Writing<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Assist in proposal writing, fundraising, and resource mobilization efforts to support project sustainability and growth.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals.
\n\u2022 Mobilize Resource from various organizations for YAM activities.<\/p>\n

General Duties<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Prepare YAM annual Programme, annual report and budget.
\n\u2022 Promote the advancement of the Association\u2019s mission and objectives
\n\u2022 Any other responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 A first degree in the sciences, Social Sciences\/Psychology OR HND with leadership experience whilst in school.<\/p>\n

THE PERSON MUST:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Have a good knowledge in the use of computer
\n\u2022 Have strong presentation, communication and report writing skills.
\n\u2022 Have a high sense of responsibility, accuracy and an eye for details.
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
\n\u2022 Have the ability to work under pressure and for long hours
\n\u2022 Be a team player and be able to take initiatives.
\n\u2022 Have an excellent interpersonal and human relations
\n\u2022 Be youth friendly and very accommodating
\n\u2022 Ability to travel at short notice.
\n\u2022 Have a place of abode in Accra, since the office is located in Accra.
\n\u2022 Be between the ages of 18 \u2013 25.
\n\u2022 Be a paid-up YAM member for a minimum of 2 years.<\/p>\n
