To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services in line with organisational policies. To combine clinical midwifery expertise with strategic leadership to oversee the facility administration, staff performance, patient\/client care, and community engagement.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nLeadership &amp; Management<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the facility.<br \/>\n\u2022 Supervise, mentor, and appraise nurses, administrative staff and other paramedical staff.<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop and implement operational plans, budgets, and performance targets.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with SRHR policies, facility standards, and regulatory frameworks.<br \/>\n\u2022 Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a culture of respect, confidentiality, and accountability.<br \/>\nClinical &amp; Technical Duties<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide high-quality midwifery care, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, domiciliary midwifery and family planning services.<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee specialist SRHR services (e.g., obstetrics, gynaecology, maternal and child health, safe abortion care, fertility, STI including HIV prevention and treatment).<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Support case reviews, audits, and continuous improvement of clinical services.<br \/>\nAdministration &amp; Operations<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage clinic operations including finance, procurement, logistics, and HR in collaboration with relevant units.<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee the availability and maintenance of medical equipment, drugs, and supplies.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure proper record-keeping, digitization of client data, and confidentiality of patient information.<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare and submit timely reports to management and relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\nCommunity Engagement &amp; Partnerships<br \/>\n\u2022 Strengthen linkages between the clinic and the community to promote SRHR and other services.<br \/>\n\u2022 Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, donors, NGOs, and professional associations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Lead clinic representation at stakeholder meetings, health forums, and advocacy events.<br \/>\nMonitoring &amp; Evaluation<br \/>\n\u2022 Track clinic performance against set targets and indicators.<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for SRHR services.<br \/>\n\u2022 Implement quality improvement initiatives based on evidence and feedback.<br \/>\nCore Competencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Leadership and strategic planning<br \/>\n\u2022 Clinical expertise in SRHR and midwifery<br \/>\n\u2022 Financial and operational management<br \/>\n\u2022 Staff supervision and capacity building<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong advocacy and partnership skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Commitment to patient rights, confidentiality, and quality of care<br \/>\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<br \/>\n\u25aa A Registered Midwife with a degree<br \/>\n\u25aa An additional higher qualification in a related field will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u25aa A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant working experience.<br \/>\nTHE PERSON:<br \/>\n\u25aa Must have very good interpersonal, communication, report writing and presentation skills<br \/>\n\u25aa Must be honest, transparent, reliable and duty-conscious<br \/>\n\u25aa Must be very accommodating<br \/>\n\u25aa High sense of responsibility, humour, be non-judgmental and able to take initiatives<br \/>\n\u25aa Must be a team player and self-motivated<br \/>\n\u25aa Must be able to work for long hours and sometimes, due to workload, under pressure<br \/>\n\u25aa Have excellent human relationship skills and be youth-friendly.<br \/>\n\u25aa Ability to source information and determine new strategies for enhanced performance<br \/>\n\u25aa Must be able to work with little or no supervision<br \/>\n\u25aa Ability to travel at short notice<br \/>\n<strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nAll interested persons with requisite qualification(s), should kindly send their Application Letters with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including two referees and cell phone numbers to:<br \/>\n<strong>recruitment@ppag-gh.org<\/strong><br \/>\nOnly shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.<br \/>\nNote:<br \/>\n<strong>Closing Date: 10th April, 2026<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 People living with HIV\/AIDS and disability are eligible and encouraged to apply<br \/>\n\u2022 PPAG believes in Child and Vulnerable Adults\u2019 protection policy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>POSITION: MIDWIFE LOCATION: CAPE COAST FACILITY, CAPE COAST REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMES AND SERVICE DELIVERY JOB PURPOSE: To lead and manage the operations of the facility.
