to be filled in the Association.<br \/>\nPOSITION: CENTER OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAMMES MANAGER<br \/>\nREPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMES AND SERVICE DELIVERY<br \/>\nLOCATION: HEAD OFFICE (ACCRA)<br \/>\nCONTRACT DURATION: ONE YEAR RENEWABLE<br \/>\nDirectly Supervises<br \/>\n\u2022 Communications Manager<br \/>\n\u2022 CoE Officer<br \/>\n\u2022 Graphics Designer<br \/>\n<strong>Job Role and Functions:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Manage the implementation of the Centre of Excellence (COE) programme<br \/>\n\u2022 Engage with all stakeholders of the CoE Programme at all levels<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective utilization and reporting on programme resourcing<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the documentation and timely reporting on CoE programme<br \/>\n<strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><br \/>\nProgramme Management<br \/>\n\u2022 Lead development of CoE programme work-plan and budgets<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate implementation of CoE programme activities<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate engagements between PPAG, Rutgers, IPPF and other partners<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with other MAs and CoE partners to provide technical support to youth<br \/>\nprogramme activities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Facilitate the provision of technical support to all MAs and partner CSOs who are part<br \/>\nof the CoE programme<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in or Facilitate all CoE meetings<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in critical meetings with partners locally and with partners from across the<br \/>\nAfrica region and beyond towards advancing the CoE programme and the SRHR agenda<br \/>\nfor young people<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinator stakeholder engagements under the CoE programme<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate and ensure effective communications and dissemination CoE materials<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the effective management of the CoE Website and Knowledge brokering<br \/>\nfunctions, including the management of the share point and CoE website<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage and coordinate the work of staff and consultants under the COE<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective and regular reporting (both programme and finance) to donor and<br \/>\nwithin PPAG reporting systems and periods.<br \/>\n<strong>Documentation and Communication<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Work closely with the Communications and Advocacy team to effectively coordinate the<br \/>\ndevelopment and documentation of various tools, strategies, success stories and best<br \/>\npractices for publication and sharing through the CoE programme, website and PPAG<br \/>\nwebsites.<br \/>\n\u2022 Effectively engage partner MAs and CSO partners to identify, document, share and<br \/>\npublish critical best practices, case studies, research, programme tools, etc. to advance the<br \/>\nknowledge brokering role of the CoE programme<br \/>\n\u2022 Effectively Liaise with Rutgers, MAs, PPAG staff and other CSOs in the development<br \/>\nand documentation of their share point materials\/content Capacity Building.<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with the Executive Director, Director of Programmes and Service delivery as well as<br \/>\nCoE programme leads at Rutgers and participating MAs to develop and ensure delivery of<br \/>\nvarious capacity building activities targeted at various groups and organizations<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure and lead development of various capacity building programmes, content and<br \/>\napproaches to advance the knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer amongst the CoE<br \/>\nMAs and other partners from around the continent and the world.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify, plan and ensure delivery of capacity building activities within the CoE programme<br \/>\nfocus areas.<br \/>\nFund raising and resource mobilisation<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify possible areas of collaboration and networking with partners to explore<br \/>\nopportunities for funding for the programme and PPAG<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in proposal writing, fund raising and resource mobilization by participating in<br \/>\nprocesses and advising management on current funding trends Funds Management.<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare and manage CoE programme work-plan and budgets<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor programme expenditure and funds utilization and disbursements to ensure<br \/>\neffective delivery and implementation of activities at all levels<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure timely and accurate programme and financial reporting Team work and Team Management<br \/>\n\u2022 Lead the CoE programme and provide leadership for the rest of the programme<br \/>\n\u2022 Effectively manage and facilitate healthy working relationship between the CoE team as<br \/>\nwell as between the CoE team and the entre PPAG staff team to ensure harmonization<br \/>\nand coherence in programmes and activities<br \/>\n\u2022 Exchange and share relevant information among and within the CoE programme team,<br \/>\nPPAG management, regional CoE Programme team from the MAs and the CoE Global<br \/>\nprogramme team with Rutgers and IPPF ARO\/CO<br \/>\n\u2022 Actively participate in PPAG programmes team meeting and other organizational<br \/>\nactivities<br \/>\n<strong>Others:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Service Delivery and Programmes<br \/>\n<strong>QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 A Master\u2019s degree in the social sciences\/Public Health or any other related field with a<br \/>\nminimum of five (5) years relevant working experience, 3 of which must be in a similar position.<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SRH issues, policies, interventions etc. at<br \/>\nthe global and national level in relation to young people<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be youth friendly and able to take initiatives<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have very good analytical, negotiation skills and demonstrate abilities to exercise discretion<br \/>\n\u2022 Very good interpersonal, communication, report writing and presentation skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be a team player and be able to work with little or no supervision and able to multitask<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have good innovative, proactive and goal-oriented
