{"id":5206,"date":"2022-11-21T09:07:08","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T09:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ppag-gh.org\/ppag\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=5206"},"modified":"2022-11-26T15:11:15","modified_gmt":"2022-11-26T15:11:15","slug":"vacancy-physician-assistant","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.ppag-gh.org\/nu\/jobs\/vacancy-physician-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"VACANCY: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education and services, hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant positions to be filled in the Association.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>POSITION: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>DIRECTLY REPORT TO: SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>LOCATION: KPARIGU<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Serve as the facility head<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide routine patient consultation on minor ailments, reviewing detention and admitted<br \/>\ncases on ward rounds and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) issues including Family<br \/>\nPlanning counseling, HIV\/AIDS management and treatment of STI\u2019s and Post Abortion Care<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide SRHR education\/information to patients and clients<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the effective overall running of the Clinic<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage emergency clinical cases.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in providing curative and preventive health services in the clinic.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the efficient use of clinical equipment and resources<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare and follow an effective referral system, where necessary<br \/>\n\u2022 Refer cases to the appropriate facility, if necessary.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that clinical reports are collated and submitted as required<br \/>\n\u2022 Collate and analyze service statistics to improve service delivery and programmes<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective infection control in the clinic and adhering to quality of care (QoC)<br \/>\n\u2022 Supervise and ensure the effective implementation of SBCC activities in the clinic and the<br \/>\ncommunity<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that staff provide effective and efficient clinical services and service delivery<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that clients and providers rights are adhered to<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with other nurses and midwives to ensure that clinical standards are adhered to<br \/>\n\u2022 Attend meetings and training programmes as required<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare Annual Work Plan and Performance Appraisal<br \/>\n\u2022 Performs any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<\/strong><br \/>\nA degree in Physician Assistantship or any other higher related field with a minimum of five (5)<br \/>\nyears relevant working experience, 3 of which must be in a managerial or administrative<br \/>\nposition.
