As part of activities to mark Customer Service Week, the PPAG Specialist Hospital, Cape Coast, in partnership with the Ladies’ Wing of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Cape Coast, organized a free breast screening exercise at Abura Market.<\/p>\n
The initiative was aimed at appreciating our cherished clients for their continued trust and loyalty.<\/p>\n
Prior to the screening, awareness creation was carried out through the Community Information Centre, one-on-one engagements, and group discussions on breast cancer and the importance of early screening.<\/p>\n
At the end of the exercise, 50 women were screened and empowered with knowledge on Breast Self-Examination (BSE) to enable them to examine their breasts periodically on their own.<\/p>\n
The activity was supported by YAM members who are trained midwives awaiting their rotation\/posting, who assisted with registration and screening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
