Baaba Brew Fleischer worked with the Civil Service as an Administrative Officer. As a Volunteer of Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), she has served the Association in various capacities. She is the Immediate Past President of PPAG and Immediate Past Southern Zone Chairperson. She Is also serving the International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPFAR) as an Accreditation Team Member/Team Leader and has successfully completed the accreditation of IPPF Member Associations in Uganda; Kenya; Lesotho; Ethiopia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Baaba Brew Fleischer has also worked as a Consultant to many organizations including, Institute for Democratic Governance on Governance Issues Forum, delivering cutting edge services relevant to the empowerment of citizens and enhancement of their abilities to sustain democratic governance and equitable development. She has worked for IBIS GH on Women’s Affirmation in National and District Assembly Elections, been a Mentor and Monitor to Non Governmental Organizations and Community based Organizations that have benefited from funds from IBIS GH to implement various projects on their behalf.
She worked as a Consultant to International Labour Organization for the design of Child Labour Monitoring System (CLMS) in Ghana; has implemented a project on Child Labour in Tourism for International Labour Organization. She worked for many years as a Consultant on UNDP/International Labour Office in Netherland project for Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana on “Improve your Construction Business”.
As a Child and Youth Activist, Baaba Brew Fleischer is the National President of the Ghana NGOs Coalition on the Rights of the Child (GNCRC) and has worked tirelessly for many years on the rights of children with focus on combating violence against children in justice institutions who are in conflict with the law and on commercial sexual exploitation of children.
She has travelled widely to many parts of the world to represent children in many world congresses and meetings to end child prostitution, child pornography and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. She also facilitates the work of ECPAT International based in Thailand (ECPAT is End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) and implements projects for Save the Children Sweden.
Mrs. Baaba Fleischer is also leading the Central Region Coalition on Right to Information on the passage into law of the Right to Information Bill which is long overdue in Parliament.
Mrs. Baaba Brew Fleischer is also a traditional leader serving the Denkyira Traditional Area in the Central Region of Ghana.
