This project will draw on the best practices of an earlier Community Based Services Project (CBS) and social franchise initiative to improve uptake of SRH services across the country. The project will work with non-traditional distributors and franchisees of the MA to provide SRH information and services. The MA will however, create the link between these CBS agents and the franchisees for the agents to make effective referrals to the franchisees.
Based on the new strategic plan of 2016-2020, PPAG envisages doubling its current volume of services by reaching more clients through expanding its geographic reaches and diversifying its service delivery approaches. With high unmet needs for all SRH services and demand for services raising both in the urban and rural areas. PPAG will target areas where the unmet need is most concentrated, mainly the urban and peri-urban low income communities, the hard to reach rural communities through strategic partnership with privately owned clinics and community based service agents for the provision of specific SRH services. Partnership through franchising of services will be employed and will benefit PPAG since it would be costly to open, run and sustain new clinics. The Association in 2017 will improve access through trained Franchisees and CBS Agents and widen its reach. The MA will however, create the link between these CBS agents and the franchisees for the agents to make effective referrals to the franchisees
