POSITION: Project Officer (2 Positions)
REPORTS TO: Programmes Coordinator
LOCATION: Head Office (ACCRA)
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
â–ª To implement and coordinate activities of the Oxfam project in the implements
â–ª To implement and coordinate activities of the National Strategic Plan (NSP)
â–ª Ensure proper implementation of Volunteer Activities (Adults and YAM) in the Central and
Western Regions
â–ª To compile specific project reports (i.e. Oxfam)
â–ª Ensure proper documentation of information of the project.
â–ª Assist in ensuring timely submission of quality reports
â–ª Conduct periodic verifications of data at the project site
â–ª Generate trends of project achievement and circulate same for decision making
â–ª Assist the M & E Coordinator in monitoring and supervision of projects in the catchment
areas
â–ª To assist in the preparation and finalization of project reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Half year,
Annual, IPPF and Donors)
▪ To assist the M & E Coordinator in the planning and preparation of the project site’s Annual
Programme and Budget
â–ª Assist in the development of innovative programmes and proposal for funding
â–ª Perform any other duties assigned by Immediate Supervisor
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
A first degree in the Social Sciences/Sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years
post qualification experience in related field
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
â–ª Strong analytical and quantitative skills
â–ª Must have good innovative, proactive and goal-oriented skills
â–ª High sense of responsibility
â–ª A strong Knowledge in current SRH and population issues
â–ª Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
â–ª Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
â–ª Good computer literacy skills
â–ª Must be a team player and be able to take initiatives
â–ª Must be able to travel at short notice
â–ª Ability to work for long hours and under pressure
