PPAG Specialist Hospital, Cape Coast Organises Free Breast Screening at Abura Market

As part of activities to mark Customer Service Week, the PPAG Specialist Hospital, Cape Coast, in partnership with the Ladies’ Wing of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Cape Coast, organized a free breast screening exercise at Abura Market.

The initiative was aimed at appreciating our cherished clients for their continued trust and loyalty.

Prior to the screening, awareness creation was carried out through the Community Information Centre, one-on-one engagements, and group discussions on breast cancer and the importance of early screening.

At the end of the exercise, 50 women were screened and empowered with knowledge on Breast Self-Examination (BSE) to enable them to examine their breasts periodically on their own.

The activity was supported by YAM members who are trained midwives awaiting their rotation/posting, who assisted with registration and screening.
